How to Build Nutrient Film Technique System

What Do You Need:

• Parts for drain system:

 4 x 2 inch PVC pipe 6 inches long
 1 x 2 inch Cross
2 x 2 inch elbows

• Parts Front Support:

  4 x 1 inch PVC pipe 11 inches long
2 x 1 inch T-Connectors
2 x 1 inch 90° elbows
 2 x 1 inch caps for feet

• Parts - Spans:

 1 inch pvc - 2 x 24 inches long and 2 x 36 inches long

• Parts - Rear Support:

 4 x 1 inch PVC 10 inches long
 2 x 1 inch T-Connectors
 2 x 1 inch 90° elbows
 2 x 1 inch caps for feet

• Parts - NFT Channels:

 3 x 2 inch (or 3 inch) PVC 48 inches long
 3 x 2 inch caps
 3 x 3 inch long screws
 3 x Wing nuts

• Parts - Nutrient Supply: 

1 x water pump.
1 x 4 1/4 inch ports free flow manifold.

 about 50 inch 1/2 inch and 3 x 4-5 inches 1/4 inch tubing.
1 Flat Top Plastic Container 84 litre, 44.5/71/38cm. 

Step by Step Setup:

Drill Holes:

 Make 6 x 1.5 inch holes on each of the 48 inches PVC pipes and 1 small hole at the end of each one for the screws to attach channels to the frame. Those holes will also be used for the water lines from the pump.

Assemble the Front Support:

 Insert the 2 caps at the end of 2 of the 11 inches long PVC and the T-Connectors at the other end, then insert the other 2 pipes and the elbows at the top end. Connect the elbows with the 24 inch PVC.

Assemble Rear Support:

 Do the same with the 10 inches long PVC.Attach the Spans:

 Connect the 2 36 inches long PVC to the T-Connectors of the front and rear support. 

 Attach the NFT Channels using the screws and wing nuts.

 Attach the Drain System. Connect the pump and the tubing.Watch the Video
